Stephen is an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist, who specialises in child and adolescent mental health and neurodivergence. Stephen has extensive experience in mental health practice in the UK and Ireland.
As a Coru-registered therapist, Stephen offers individual therapy to children and adolescents. Stephen works in a holistic and client-centred manner, using trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirming approaches in his practice. Stephen provides a non-judgemental therapy space where young people can feel empowered to be their authentic selves.
Stephen draws from training and experience in a variety of psychotherapy models, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), underpinned by his core training in Occupational Therapy.
Stephen also offers parent coaching sessions, with areas of focus including emotional co-regulation and understanding and responding to behaviour with curiosity and compassion.
